Heroes writers axe awesomely tacky ’70s flashback [Heroes]

Once upon a time, a drama called Heroes was on television. You may remember it, assuming you have a very long memory.

Anyway, writer-producers Joe Pokaski and Aron Coleite have spoken up about the plots that had to be dropped when season two was cut short by the writers’ strike: among them was a flashback to the late 1970s that would’ve explored the origins of the Company and “powers in the time of disco”. Sounds like there’s no plan to work the storyline back into season three… which is a shame, because ’70s flashbacks are always hilarious.

Also, it looks like Peter’s Irish girlfriend Caitlin – and it’s been so long since I last watched Heroes that I can’t even think of an adjective to describe her – is going to remain stranded in an alternative future that no longer exists. Burned!
