Grey’s Anatomy in danger of scoring yet another inexplicable Emmy nomination [award]

Grey’s Anatomy has scored an Emmy nomination for best drama for the past two years… which, okay, fine. I’ve never really liked the show but other critics enjoyed the first couple of seasons, so maybe I just missed something.

But. Haven’t most critics totally bagged out the show’s most recent season? So how did Grey’s land a spot on this year’s list of contenders for the best drama Emmy – a list that includes genuinely acclaimed dramas like Dexter, Damages and The Wire? (Sadly, Battlestar Galactica has been barred by the Emmys. Again. Sheez.)

The full list of Emmy drama and comedy forerunners, after the jump.

  • Boston Legal

I’ve never understood the Grey’s love.

    Crossing my fingers for Damages.

If Two and a Half Men wins the Emmy there is no justice in the world.

Hmmm here I am talking about the Emmy’s as if I care and they’re a respected award. Time to get my head cheked again…

  2. I know right. How did the Emmys become so prestigious? So often they’re rubbish.

    30 Rock for best comedy!

I am more than a little surprised that Two and a half Men is still on the air, given it is so mind numbingly dumb and even less funny than Joey.
