Gabriella Montez is much smarter than Vanessa Hudgens [High School Musical]

Spoiler alert! Vanessa Hudgens has revealed that in High School Musical: Senior Year, her science-whiz character Gabriella is accepted into Stanford. (I bet Gabriella has never had her fanny splashed around on the internet either.) Vanessa hinted that the main HSM characters all wind up at different colleges, indicating the third instalment really will be the last one… the last one to star the core cast, anyway.

  1. LOL! I doubt this is the last we’ll see of the HSM franchise… as you said, they’ll probably come out with a few cheesy “spin-off” movies with a new cast, aka the American Pie Stiffler’s brother direct-to-video movie, “Grease 2”, or hell, the sequel to “Bus That Couldn’t Slow Down”, or as Milhouse called it, “Speed, but with a boat instead of a bus” (which no one saw).

But poor Vanessa Hudgens (and the rest of the HSM cast besides Zac Efron), while Zac has become a household name, no one (quite possibly including the movies’ target audience) really knows who the other actors actually are, and while Zac will (or has) become a movie star in his own right and thus has no more use for the HSM franchise and wants out, the others are probably clinging for dear life. Its kinda unfair that the cute guy became instantly famous while his female co-star needed to go all Basic Instinct before she was noticed… but you know, guys are hotter than girls.

  2. Heh, true.

I suspect that the inevitable HSM4 will probably attract a few of the original cast. And by “a few” I mean Corbin Bleu and Monique Coleman. Who? Exactly.
