Four minutes to save the world… from sheer embarrassment [WTF?]

Imagine if your mum and dad started lip-synching to a well-known pop song. Now imagine they’ve thrown a few dodgy dance moves into the act. Now imagine they’re performing this travesty of song-and-dance on national television.

What you’re feeling is an appropriate level of embarrassment to a new segment that debuted on Sunrise this morning, which opened with hosts Mel and Kochie miming to Madge and JT’s single ‘4 Minutes’ complete with leather-jacket costumes and professionally choreographed dance moves:

As much as this makes me want to curl into a tight hot ball of humiliation, it’s also kind of a tiny bit awesome. I get a kick out of the shamelessness.
