Heroes geeks given more excuses to spend even less time with fellow humans [Heroes]

Comic book scribe Mark Sable sez that the Heroes webcomics – a forgotten casualty of the writers’ strike – will roll back into production this Northern summer. Neat! According to Sable the Heroes-obsessed can expect “a lot of original characters as well as people that we’ve seen before. But it’s going to focus on teams of agents that work for the Company that we haven’t seen on the show.”

I bought the first Heroes comic collection a while back and enjoyed it, but found a lot of a stories (you can read them for free here) a little bitsy and detached from the show proper. That’ll probably change this time around:

“There is real participation from the writers and the creators of the program… the Heroes people take their continuity really, really seriously. The comics are canon. You can’t take a character (from the show) and have them do something out of character. Beyond that, they want this stuff to count.”
