Lost: who’s in the coffin? [spoilerama]

Everyone in the world has spent the last year speculating about whose funeral Jack went to in Lost‘s third season finale, and the cat could be out of the bag.

Spoilers Lost has a report from an onlooker who recently saw the show filming at the funeral home, and the only star present was… Desmond! Dun! Spotted in a suit and tie with his hair pulled back! Dun dun! So either Desmond’s dead and slowly rotting in that coffin, or, like Jack, he’s there visiting whoever the deceased is.

I like the latter theory better: mostly because I think Desmond is at the heart of the show and killing him off without a darn good reason would be a shame; and besides, why would Kate refuse to go to Desmond’s funeral? Granted the upcoming season four finale could reveal there’s a good excuse for her not to go, but still.

Meanwhile, actress Brea Grant talks about being cast as speedy villain Daphne on Heroes (the character was previously named Joy), revealing bits and pieces about season three:

“I’m stealing a secret that’s been kept in Hiro’s family for a long time that he’s just now found,” Brea Grant told The Associated Press during a break in filming on location in a high-rise building in downtown Los Angeles. “He stops time right as I grab it, but in that second it took him to grab it, I almost make it out of the office.”

Masi Oka adds that Daphne, who calls herself “the Speedster”, is the Roadrunner to Hiro’s Wile E. Coyote, indicating things won’t go so well for him next season.

I’m kinda half-in half-out about these new Lost episodes. They’re cool but also wrong in some way that I can’t figure out.

I was kinda shocked that Babylon 5 woman actually died… I thought for sure she’d come back as she was only shot in her shoulder. I suppose you can’t bitch about them not killing characters off in Lost… although I wish they’d kill Jack.
